I am updating my review to reflect the changes

YES!!!!! They finally fixed this so it works perfectly on the Macbook with retina display. I had rated it 3/5 before, due to the fact that there was a serious glitch in the old version, for users with the new macbook pros. Now I am happy to report that the background visuals work perfectly, as advertised, and it is now one of my favorite soothing writing apps of all time. :) I am off to loose myself in the omm writer experience.
